Performing the Past - Ancient glue making and Stone Age tools

About
***This is an online event****
The session will be streamed out to Facebook on Monday 25th January at 10:30am as a live video following this link.
Hayden Scott-Pratt our assistant Curator at Hengistbury Head and Mark Holloway, Performing the Past Project Manager will show us how to make Stone Age (12,000 year old) glue - which we will use to turn some stone blades and tools into a variety of handled or shafted tools such as arrows and knifes. We will use beeswax, pine sap, gut and twine to affix our very own Stone Age tool kit!
It will all be staged outside in the experimental area where we will have a fire in our sandbox to warm ourselves and heat up our materials.
We have designed this for all ages, abilities and interests and please join us online if you are looking for online learning with your children!
You can find more out about Performing the Past from our website.
