Boat Trips, Cruises and Boat Charters

Enjoy some of the best views in Dorset with a trip or cruise from Poole. You have the option to charter a vessel too!

Whether you are looking for a sightseeing cruise exploring Poole's beautiful natural Harbour (the largest in Europe), a wildlife cruise, or you simply just enjoy being on the water, you will find the right boat trip for you. Many trips run throughout the year (check individual operators listed below for dates and times).

There are special boat trips on occasions such as firework nights in Poole!

Ferries run to the National Trust Brownsea Island from Poole Quay and Sandbanks every 30 minutes in season.

From Poole Quay you can also do a Jurassic Coastal cruise, trips along the Wareham River or a boat ride to the victorian seaside resort of Swanage.  Extend this tour on a Sea Train Adventure which offers a boat and train combination ticket.

Boat Hire

If you are looking for a more independent way of exploring Poole Harbour, what better way to enjoy the water than by hiring a boat. You'll enjoy amazing views and discover Poole at your own pace from a whole new angle. Luckily, no boating experience is necessary so both amateur and experienced captains are welcomed to the helm with Poole Boat Hire. Their boats are fully kitted out with all standard and safety features.

Alternatively, if you are feeling a little more daring, why not hire a jet ski as part of a guided jet ski course from Poole Quay. Jet skiing offers a more thrilling way of enjoying the local area and no prior experience is necessary, just a need for speed! *
