High Street

The high street in Poole is totally unique; it stretches from the water’s edge at Poole Quay (Lowe High Street) right up to the Dolphin Shopping Centre, which is Dorset’s largest covered shopping centre with plenty of large brand names to satisfy any shoppers wants and needs.

There is plenty of choice with independents and chains alike, and the place is bustling with coffee shops and restaurants when you need to take a break.

If you want something unique, then visit Kingland, just outside the Dolphin Shopping Centre. You will discover a boutique shopping area with several independent retailers; there is a custom surfboard shop, a houseplant and interior shop, and a zero-waste grocery store, amongst others. With a friendly atmosphere and welcoming shop owners, it’s a real gem.

The Quayside, old town, and lower high street are pretty and historical. Here you will find a variety of quirky independent shops, jewellers, and Lush, the ethical cosmetic brand that has its headquarters in Poole. There are also plenty of cafes and restaurants around the Quay if you need to rest those weary legs.
