After exploring our beautiful destination by either enjoying our historic quayside, visiting an attraction, walking through beautiful Poole Park, or browsing the shops in the lower high street and town centre, why not unwind and indulge in a sumptuous afternoon tea treat.

Perhaps there is a birthday, baby shower, or other celebration coming up, or just an excuse to get together with friends and loved ones, there are plenty of options in resort.

We can’t think of a more stunning setting than sitting on the outside terrace with a quintessential afternoon tea. Many of our restaurants and cafes offer afternoon teas on their menus. With a bustling quayside, high street, and award-winning beachfront, just three miles out of town, all offer cafes, bars, and restaurants dotted along as you explore.

Enjoy a visit to the historic Poole Museum to discover four floors of galleries telling the story of this maritime town. Finish your visit with a delicious cream tea or slice of cake in their café and terrace. Poole Museum is temporarily closed for redevelopment.

Another option is to make up your own afternoon tea, packed full of your favourite treats, and enjoy it al fresco in one of our glorious parks and gardens. Compton Acres and Upton Country Park both offer scrumptious cream tea options in their on-site cafes.
