Poole is packed with boredom busting, memory making activities for the whole family.
Discover cliff top woodland walkways, pirate play areas or climb giant woodland insects on the cliff tops along Poole’s three miles of award winning golden sands. Blue Flag beaches offer the perfect place for wave jumping, shell finding and castle creation whilst for the more adventurous, Poole Harbour’s safe, shallow waters are ideal for trying a new activity on the water.
Poole Quay is ideal for a quayside quest. Catch the relatives of Jurassic predators with a traditional crabbing net and explore the town’s rich pirate history on the Cockle Trail or Treasure Hunt available from the Tourist Information Centre. See local history brought to life with tactile trails, arts, crafts and hands on activities at Poole Museum and medieval Scaplen’s Court. Poole Museum is temporarily closed for redevelopment.
From Poole Quay, voyage across the sea to Brownsea, the National Trust’s island of adventure to build dens, unearth mini beasts, spot squirrels and sika deer or try the play trail. For high tech adventure learn more about the RNLI with an interactive tour including the lifeboat simulator at their College Headquarters.
