Irving Undead

Actor James Swanson in costume as Henry Irving holding a skull

About

Henry Irving is dead.

In life, he was the greatest actor of the Victorian age. Queen Victoria knighted him. Oscar Wilde applauded him. Shakespeare lived through him. And Bram Stoker was inspired by him – to write the horror classic Dracula.

But Henry Irving is dead and Dracula is very much alive. A state of affairs that Irving will not accept.
Follow Irving's restless spirit as he relates his story of obsessive artistic devotion, Gothic transformation, and doomed love. The story of a man who could never escape his monsters – even in death.

Join award-winning actor James Swanton in this thrilling one-man play, dedicated to his long-term passion Sir Henry Irving.
