Playing to sold-out houses at regional festivals and clubs around the UK and beyond, the Darius Brubeck Quartet’s acoustic sound is melodic, spontaneous, rhythmic and engaging. Now together for ten years, the Quartet has become one of the most popular on the international jazz circuit. Darius, while known for representing his famous father’s musical legacy and for his work in South Africa, is an imaginative jazz composer and his compositions are another important reason for the group’s popularity. Following the success of their debut album, ‘Cathy’s Summer’, the Quartet launched a second album ‘Years Ago’ in 2016 at London’s famous Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. In 2017 they toured Israel in addition to the usual round of concerts in the UK and Europe. The Quartet cpme to Poole on the back of a successful appearance at the 2018 London Jazz Festival concert.
An all-star quartet features the brilliant Dave O’Higgins on saxes.
