Bournemouth Pier to Pier Swim

Lady in swim gear running with crowd down the beach

We're back for our 30th anniversary! Take part on Saturday or Sunday and swim 1.4 miles between Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers in one of Europe's biggest charity swimming events. Your willpower has never been more important to support the lives of those living with heart and circulatory diseases in what has been our biggest challenge in our 60-year history.

Your entry includes full water safety cover, branded swim hats with safety timing chips and a wristband to wear during the swim, a complimentary hot drink and water, as well as a medal to celebrate your incredible achievement of taking part. The safety of our participants is always of utmost importance to us all at the BHF and we will be committing every effort to ensure that our event delivery is aligned to all of the latest UK Government guidance, specifically concerning COVID-19. Please see more details on the Covid-19 tab on our website.

Please note, you must be at least 14 years old to take part in Bournemouth Pier to Pier Swim. Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Event Volunteers needed
The Bournemouth Pier to Pier event requires up to 60 volunteers on both Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July. Event Volunteers have a choice of shifts and opportunities. In doing so, you’ll be helping our participants accomplish something incredible as they fundraise to support BHF research and the lives of those living with heart and circulatory diseases.

The BHF is committed to ensuring that volunteers have an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. We want to ensure our volunteers feel confident, safe and supported in their roles and will provide you with an induction pack with event specific procedures including COVID considerations.
