La Nova Singers present an Afternoon Concert with Cream Tea

Choir of female singers, dressed in colourful evening gowns, standing in an ornamental garden with fresh greenery

About

A summer's afternoon of beautiful music - and a delicious cream tea!

On Sunday 7 July, join classical vocal ensemble La Nova Singers for a relaxed afternoon concert at Wimborne's Merley House, complete with a cream tea.

Operatic classics by composers such as Mozart, Verdi and Gershwin will be featured; as well as gorgeous melodies by modern composers Ola Gjeilo, Eric Whitacre and Sarah Quartel. The talented singers will entertain you with duets, solos and choruses; all in the beautiful Georgian former library of Merley House. They are accompanied on piano by Simon Gilliver.

A selection of sandwiches, strawberries and scones with jam and cream will refresh you - and make this the perfect celebration of British summertime!

La Nova Singers are a female voice choir based in Bournemouth, trained in the Italian 'Bel Canto' technique by musical director Michelle Nova. Critics and audience members alike have described their distinctive, bright sound as 'glorious' and 'absolutely divine'. The choir have enjoyed features on BBC Radio 3 and by Classic FM, and are popular regular performers at Highcliffe Castle.

Tickets are £28 plus booking fee, and must be booked in advance via Eventbrite before 29 June. Visit their website www.lanovasingers.co.uk for more details and to book.
