Hotel du Vin & Bistro

Stunning front view of the Hotel entrance with red and green colours

Think quintessential British style, elegant and unpretentious, where the simple things are done supremely well. Combine this with great spirit, wit and an unquestionable devotion to wine and you have captured the essence of du Vin.

Situated just off Poole Quay in the heart of the Old Town, Hotel du Vin & Bistro offers the perfect combination of a stunning location and their unique and renowned style of hospitality. Featuring 38 stunning individually designed rooms and suites, a trademark bistro serving classing French dishes with a British twist, a cosy bar area, intriguing Laroche wine tasting cellar, and outside courtyard terrace for alfresco dining.

Are you looking for a hotel with something special?  Think Hotel du Vin.

Their rooms and suites are perfect to lay anchor for the night, with their soft Egyptian cotton bed linen, huge custom-made beds, hand-sprung mattresses, fluffy towels and robes, drenching monsoon showers or roll-top baths.

Poole is a delightful place for inspiring meetings, a relaxing weekend break or a happy summer holiday. Originally built in 1776, as the 'Mansion House', they have lovingly refurbished the hotel to reflect its nautical past, keeping original decorative features, whilst adding typical Hotel du Vin panache. Original stone stairs and classical columns greet you, with flickering ship's lanterns lighting the way. The courtyard's sail-like awning invites you to dine under the stars. The comfy sofas and low beams of the Snug welcome you for an aperitif, cocktail, or nightcap. Their expert Sommelier in the Laroche tasting room will guide you through the most amazing wines, while our delicious hearty, locally sourced dishes in our trademark bistro will delight you.

Road Directions

From M27 junction 1, follow A31 to Wimborne and then A349 into Poole town centre, follow signs to the Port (A350). Continue on towards the Quay, before Poole Bridge, turn left onto Poole Quay. Take the first turning left onto Thames Street.

We have very limited car parking onsite which is on a first come first served basis, we are unable to reserve spaces in advance. We do guarantee residents a parking space during their stay as we have access to two multi-storey car parks, Quay Visitors, which is on Strand Street, Poole, BH15 1SB and High Street Shops which is on Hill Street, Poole, BH15 1NR.

Both are less than a five minutes stroll from the hotel. Guests do not need to pay and display at the machine, guests will be asked to obtain a ticket on entry of the car park. This will be validated at hotel reception. Validation must take place on arrival to avoid any fines from the car park.
