Glamour, style and serious chic as Poole Goes Vintage

Fasten those pin curls, grab a trilby and lindy bop down to Poole Quay on Sunday 14 July as Poole Goes Vintage.
Visitors will be able to soak up the atmosphere and jive and jitterbug to a sensational soundtrack of swing, jive, rockabilly, rhythm & blues from 11am-7pm. Organised by BCP Tourism working with vintage events specialist Real Vintage, the event is part of Poole’s Wave 105 Summertime in the South events.
With live music from 40’s style girl groups The Aphrodites and The Blue Stockings to flat out rock ‘n roll from The Blue Cadillacs and Rip it Up, there will even be a performance from The King as Elvis takes to the stage.
Visitors can indulge in a feast of flowing frocks and dapper suits as fabulous fashions from the 40’s and 50’s take to the runway for a showcase of the timeless fashions of the era. Create your own look with a selection of goods from specialist vintage traders. Enjoy dancing from Braces and Lace as DJ’s G.I 45, Vanessa and Vernon play the very best of Rock N Roll, Soul and more!
Prepare for a treat as 16 String Jack shake things up with their mix of Irish, folk, country and skiffle with headliners The Junco Shakers bringing their own brand of skifflebilly swing to the Quay inspired by country, roots, rhythm and blues at 6pm.
