Poole dream machines bike of the night April 30th 2019
1st May 2019
A pleasant Spring evening saw nearly 600 motorbikes come along to enjoy the weekly gathering of this year’s Coles Miller Dream Machines motorcycle event on Poole Quay on 30 April.
The popular weekly event is organised and managed by the Tourism office of the new BCP Council and is sponsored this year by Coles Miller Solicitors LLP.
Dream Machines is the largest weekly motorcycle meet in the South, taking place every Tuesday evening from 6pm, April – September. From the latest superbikes and custom builds to vintage classics and trikes, the Quay and Harbour offer the perfect location to show off a superb range of motorbikes where bikers and spectators enjoy a unique relaxed atmosphere. With a great selection of waterside cafes, bars, restaurants and food kiosks it is also the perfect place to relax and have a bite to eat while enjoying the event.
Congratulations to Colin Mattingly from Broadstone, who won the weekly ‘Bike of the Night’ title with his light blue Harley Davidson Electra Glide. He said “I have owned this 1600cc bike for 8 years now and am proud that it has been chosen as the weekly winner”. He rode home with the special prize of bike cleaning kit courtesy of Muc-Off Ltd.
Judge for the evening was Poole’s First Citizen, The Worshipful Mayor of Poole, Cllr Sean Gabriel. He said “I awarded the prize because of the originality of the colour scheme and its mix with the LED lighting effects. It just stood out for me amongst all others”.
For avid bikers, Coles Miller Dream Machine season armbands are on sale from the Poole Tourist Information Centre within Poole Museum, or available from the Lord Nelson or the Fish and Chip kiosk. Armbands give access to the whole season for just £8.
