**Cancelled for 2020**

Returning to Bournemouth in 2020 for its 9th year, BFX is recognised as one of the world’s premier animation, film and games festivals. Designed and curated by Bournemouth University, BFX showcases the latest practices and knowledge found in today’s Digital Economy to inspire new talent and educate the next generation of practitioners.

Taking place from the 5th - 11th October at the new Poole Gateway Building on Bournemouth's University Talbot Campus, this year’s festival will feature presentations, workshops and master classes delivered by leading industry professionals, screenings of the best VFX and Animation movies as well as the latest developments from the Games industry. The presentations are both entertaining and educational, giving you unprecedented insight behind the screens of the creation of some of your favourite films, television series, commercials, games and software.

Road Directions

The BFX Festival will be held at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC). On arrival please follow signs to the Purbeck entrance at the rear of the building.

Public Transport Directions

The nearest train station to the BIC is Bournemouth. The venue is a 5 minute bus or taxi journey from the station, or a 25 minute walk. Buses run frequently from the Bournemouth travel interchange (opposite Bournemouth train station) and will drop you outside the venue. The journey takes approximately 5 minutes or you can walk to the venue in 25 minutes.
