In spite of the unpredicted thunder and lightning over 400 bikes rode down to Poole Quay to enjoy the evening.

Congratulations Paul Stainwright from Ringwood who won the ‘Bike of the Night’ title on his red Norton Commando 750cc.  Paul, said: “I bought the bike in 2012 as a non runner when it had been hand painted yellow!  It took two years to complete a nut and bolt rebuild and I aim keep riding it until I can’t get my leg over any longer.”

Paul rode home with a race kit courtesy of Muc-Off.  Judge for the night was Roger Holyoake, who chose the bike because “It was a great example of a Norton 750cc.”

As a Bike of the Night winner, Paul will be invited to take part in the “Bike of the Year” finale, sponsored by APlan Motorcycle Insurance link will open in new window on 27 September, when the public have the chance to pick from this season's bike of the week winners, their “2016 Bike of the Year”, with cash prizes on offer for the top three places.
