Poole Dream Machines - Bike of the Night 3rd April
4th April 2018
A cold, blustery and overcast April evening saw up to 300 motorbikes come along to enjoy the first night of the Poole Dream Machines motorcycle event of 2018.
The popular weekly event is organised and managed by the Poole & Bournemouth Tourism office, and is sponsored this year by Dutton Gregory Solicitors.
The event sees the largest weekly motorcycle meet in the South, taking place every Tuesday evening from 6pm, April – September. From the latest superbikes and custom builds to vintage classics and trikes, the Quay and Harbour offer the perfect location to show off a superb range of motorbikes where bikers and spectators enjoy a unique relaxed atmosphere. And with a great selection of waterside cafes, bars, restaurants and food kiosks to enjoy during the event, it is the perfect place to relax and have a bite to eat.
Congratulations to Steve Hurst from Fareham who won the weekly ‘Bike of the Night’ title with his Triumph Bonneville. Steve Hurst said “he had owned the limited edition bike since new, and loved the classic look. He rode home with the special prize of helmet cleaning kit courtesy of Muc-Off Ltd
Judge for the evening was Carol Maunder of event sponsors Dutton Gregory solicitors, and she awarded the prize “because it was a beautiful looking machine in supreme condition, and looked like a real classic.”
If you’re an avid biker, don't forget we have a limited stock of season armbands from the Poole Tourist Information Centre within Poole Museum, or available from Quayside Emporium, the Lord Nelson or the Fish and Chip kiosk. Armbands give access to the whole season for £8.
