Bike of the Night Winner 6 September

Bike of the Night Winner 6 September 2016

L to R: Judge Adie Porter and Winner James Steventon.

With only a few weeks of the 2016 Poole Dream Machines season left, over 500 bikes rode down to Poole Quay to enjoy the evening, with touring bikes visiting from as far afield as Canada and Italy.  The final event takes place on the 27th September, when the public have the opportunity to make their choice from the individual bikes who have won throughout the season, to decide which bike will be chosen as “Bike of the Year”.

Congratulations to James Steventon from Poole who won the ‘Bike of the Night’ title on his MV 150RS Rapido.

James rode home with a race kit courtesy of Muc-Off.  Judge for the night was Adie Porter from Three Cross Motorcyles link will open in new window, who chose the bike because “it was restored in 1995 and is in beautiful condition.  The bike is used weekly.”

As a Bike of the Night winner, James will also be invited to take part in the “Bike of the Year” finale, sponsored by APlan Motorcycle Insurance link will open in new window at the end of the season, with cash prizes on offer for the top three places.

Note:  On Tuesday 13 September motorcycle entry to Poole Dream Machines will be diverted via West Street, the old Poole Bridge approach.  The diversion will be in place because Poole's lower High Street will be closed to all traffic from Mon 12 - Fri 16 Sept 2016.  The road will be closed from the junction with New Street/Castle Street at the Slug & Lettuce link will open in new window, down to the Quay for BT ducting & associated work.
