Poole Park for watersports, play areas, boating, and lots more, and Hamworthy Park for its beachside play area, paddling pool, and cafe. You are spoiled for choice!

A Fascinating History

Poole is a town rich in history. The beautiful Old Town was part of the mediaeval town, and some buildings still survive. Poole's rich history is revealed in the museum's four floors of galleries. Relax with a coffee, try crabbing on the quayside, enjoy the shops and attractions, or explore historic Poole by walking the Cockle Trail with plenty of ice cream stops along the way.

Enjoy our coast the most and try out one of the many water-based activities Poole Harbour has to offer. From dolphins and red squirrels to rare native reptiles and underwater inhabitants, there are plenty of ways to make the most of the great outdoors and experience wildlife. Poole Harbour is an internationally protected hotspot for birds, especially waterfowl.
