Lighthouse Poole is delighted to announce it is to play host to the premiere of the first non-replica revival of Yasmina Reza’s Tony and Olivier Award-winning comedy ART on Thursday 29 August.

Starring comedian Seann Walsh, it will play a three-night run with a matinee performance on Saturday 31 August and is preceded by four days of rehearsals ahead of a UK tour.

Named best comedy at the Olivier Awards, Tony Awards and Moliere Awards, ART played a historic nine years in London's West End and two years on Broadway, as well as travelling around the globe to entertain audiences worldwide. 

Iqbal Khan (East is East, National Theatre; Othello, RSC) directs Seann Walsh and an all-star cast in this brand-new production of Yasmina Reza's fiendishly clever and hilariously funny play. 

When Serge buys a large, expensive, completely white painting, his friend Marc is horrified and leads to a strained debate about what constitutes art. Caught in the middle, Yvan tries to calm them, but what effect does this have on their friendship?

Tickets go on pre-sale to Lighthouse Friends only from Wednesday 10 April and on general sale from Friday 12 April.
