About
Join hundreds of cyclists taking part in the tenth anniversary Rotary Dorset Bike Ride.
Expected to attract over 500 riders, this year's event will take place on Sunday 9th October, starting and finishing at Longthorns Campsite, next to Monkey World in Wareham
Register today at www.dorset-bike-ride.co.uk for this event, which has raised £300,000 for Cancer Research UK over the past ten years.
Take in some amazing views of the Dorset countryside from Corfe Castle to West Lulworth, from Shipton Gorge to West Compton, from Milton Abbas to Bere Regis. This bike challenge is really five events rolled into one, comprising:
22 Mile Route: Fairly flat, designed for family fun.
35 Mile Route: Still avoiding hills, but a bit more demanding.
55 Mile Route: Things are becoming a bit more challenging, with some good climbs through Lulworth and East Creech.
70 Mile Route: For those looking for a serious ride, this has a total climb of 3,178ft.
108 Mile Route: Not for the faint-hearted – the day's biggest challenge has a total climb of 7,178ft.
The organisers are also looking for volunteers and marshals to support the coordination of the event. Find full details at www.dorset-bike-ride.co.uk.
