About

***This is a virtual event***

Getting you closer to your ancestors!

On the 23 February 2021 we plan to do our second archaeology walk across Hengistbury Head. Walking in the footsteps of our ancestors way back 12,000 years ago, we will stream the walk live to Facebook so anyone can join us virtually.
We will visit the site of the Stone Age hunter-gatherers who camped here some 9000 years ago and walk the Iron Age beach where boats from the continent were pulled up loaded with wine, olives and luxury goods from Italy. Hopefully we will find some sherds of ancient pottery from 2000 years ago left behind by these Iron Age people.

Please join us virtually here.
