New Forest Wildlife Park

New Forest Wildlife Park Wolves

Visit New Forest Wildlife Park for a warm welcome, a wonderful day out and encounters with some amazing wildlife.

Located in lovely natural woodland in the heart of the New Forest National Park, you’ll meet characters such as Hobbit the barn owl, Munchkin the lynx, Topaz the otter and Hetty the hedgehog. In the deer enclosure you can get up close to rescued fallow and roe deer or watch Victor the magnificent red deer stag interact with his herd of hinds. The rare giant otters love to play in their pool while the vocal Asian short-clawed otters provide amusing entertainment at feeding time.

There are many more animals and birds to enjoy, including the rare Scottish wildcat, European Bison, wolves, wallabies, muntjac deer, ferrets, hedgehogs, foxes, badgers, polecats, pine martens, mouflon, souslik and harvest mice.

You can learn about the habits of different species of owls, including barn owls, snowy owls, tawny owls, eagle owls, great horned owls and more, or wander through the tropical butterfly house, from Easter to September, enjoying the sight of colourful butterflies emerging from their pupae. The friendly and knowledgeable keepers will do their best make your day special, with keeper talks, feeding sessions, animal encounter sessions and quizzes, and there’s a tempting restaurant and gift shop too.

Finally, let your hair down in the fabulous Go Wild adventure playgrounds, designed for fun-loving kids and adults of all ages.

Go Wild!

Whether you’re 6 years old or 86, you’ll love Go Wild!

Our fantastic adventure playground is the ideal place for exploration and fun.
Located among the trees and in sight of the park’s wildlife, Go Wild! has a zip wire, log jumble, ‘birds’ nests’ climbing ropes, swings, spider nets and more.

Mini Go Wild!

For the tiny tots - away from the older boys and girls – there’s Mini Go Wild!
Younger visitors up to six years old can enjoy the sand pits, diggers, slides, climbing frames and swings, all in a safe and stimulating environment.

Animal Feeding

What do otters like to eat? Why do wolves howl? Have you got questions you’d like answered about our wildlife?

Then join our friendly keepers for their regular keeper talks and feeding sessions throughout the day. You can hear all about our fascinating animals and see them being fed.

At various times of the year, animal encounter sessions also allow you to get up close to small mammals and birds. Check at the entrance to the park for the times of keeper talks, feeding sessions or special events.
