Take the opportunity to experience a different view of the wonderful countryside without the car and take a flexible on or off-road guided cycle ride.
Poole has approximately 48 miles of cycle network, 27 miles of which are away from traffic including leisure routes in pleasant green areas and cycle paths by the sea. The various routes cater for all abilities of cyclist. It is possible to cycle between Poole Town Centre and Upton Country Park, plus Poole Town Centre and Wimborne using off-road cycle route.
There are over 550 Sheffield stands throughout the Borough for cycle parking, together with 43 free bike bins in the town centre. These bins are located near the bus station, opposite the railway station and in two locations off the High Street. The Poole section of the National Cycle Network Route 25 is complete and fully signed. For more information visit www.sustrans.org.uk/

Poole's Cycle Routes
Poole Heritage Cycle Route - Approximately 7.5 miles visiting places of historic interest in Poole Town Centre, the Quay and Upton Country Park. The route between the town centre and Upton House runs alongside the water with beautiful views of the harbour. Romans and Railways Trailway - A tour of Broadstone and district for walkers and cyclists using the Trailway. The Castleman Trailway - A 16 mile trail, much of it following the route of the old Southampton to Dorchester railway line which was closed in the 1960's. Bourne Valley Greenway stretches between Canford Heath in Poole and the seafront in Bournemouth and is approximately 4.5 miles long. It follows a picturesque green corridor which includes open spaces, heathlands, a nature reserve and formal gardens.

The Castleman Trailway - A 16 mile trail, much of it following the route of the old Southampton to Dorchester railway line which was closed in the 1960's. Covers Poole and surrounding areas.
The Rempstone Ride - A 12 mile + route from Norden to Studland and Shell Bay.
The Castle Ride - A 12 mile route from Wareham to Corfe Castle.
The Blandford Cycle Ride - A 16 mile ride from Blandford through the Kingston Lacy estate and some of Dorset's most unspoilt villages.
