Things to do

A great day out for all the family...
Beaulieu, in the heart of the New Forest, is a great family day out, with so many attractions to discover in acres of beautiful grounds.
The motor vehicle collection in the National Motor Museum remains one of Beaulieu's most famous attractions with more than 250 on show from early family cars to historic racing cars, and Formula 1 cars dramatically displayed on sweeping steel structures allowing visitors to view the vehicles from completely new angles and perspectives. There are vehicles from every motoring era as well as World Land Speed Record Breakers and the James Bond Experience with genuine cars and boats from the James Bond films.
Visitors can walk through the magnificent rooms of Palace House - the Montagu family home since 1538. Nearby the 13th century Abbey features an exhibition of the daily life of its Cistercian Monk founders, leading into the picturesque serenity of the cloisters and Herb Garden.
Beaulieu's expansive gardens include the fragrant Victorians' Garden, the informal Wilderness Garden and the Ornamental Kitchen Garden laid out on the site of the original 1872 Palace House kitchen garden.
Visitors can take a ride on the Monorail, the replica 1912 London Bus, the "Wheels" ride and for younger visitors the Mini Motor Play Trail.
