Adventure Wonderland
About
Dorset’s multi award-winning family theme park, Adventure Wonderland, with its great range of rides and attractions is the perfect spot for an unforgettable day out.
The park, opposite Bournemouth Airport, takes its inspiration from Lewis Carol’s timeless classic, Alice in Wonderland and children love getting to know the resident characters Alice, Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, Mr Rabbit and the cheeky Cheshire Cat, who’s just joined the crew.
2018 is an exciting year at the park. All the family-favourite rides will be staying, but out go the older rides and in come new attractions to keep families entertained.
These include a major new World of Madness play area, a Dance with the Stars marquee, a giant White Rabbit bouncer, a Super Zap Zone in the Wild Thing! play area and a curriculum-based Alice trail for schools and groups.
Throughout the year the park welcomes a number of fabulous visiting characters for the day. Fireman Sam™ kicks things off at February half-term (14th) when the Hero Next Door will be making personal appearances at intervals throughout the day.
Christchurch Fire Station’s Red Watch will also be visiting the park. Children will love clambering in and out of the fire engine and there’s an important fire safety message to soak up too.
Easter, Halloween, Christmas and all the school holidays are always extra special times at Adventure Wonderland, so follow the park on Facebook and sign-up for the newsletter or checkout the website to keep bang up-to-date with the latest events.
The park is set within wonderful parkland with the largest natural hedge maze on the South Coast with 1 ½ miles of pathways – perfect for an adventure. There is also the ever-popular Cuddle Corner petting area with its host of furry friends.
And that’s just outside. There’s also the vast indoor Aztec adventure play centre, Wild Thing! with even more activities including the fantastic Montyzoomer’s Ball Firing Thunderdome!
Plus, new live shows in the weather beating Happydrome Theatre.
The park celebrated triple success in the 2017 prestigious Primary Times Reader Star Awards, it was voted Best Overall Attraction, Best Family Attraction and Best Children’s Party Venue by readers. The family-friendly magazine, which has a distribution of more than 50,000, reaches 198 primary schools in Dorset, and is aimed at parents of children aged 4 to 11.
