Paultons Park to feature in BBC One documentary Holiday of My Lifetime

Len Goodman at Paultons Park

Paultons family theme park in Hampshire is to feature in the new series of BBC One documentary, Holiday of My Lifetime.  Back again for a second series, the show, which was originally broadcast in 2014, sees host Len Goodman and a variety of celebrity guests travel to their favourite childhood holiday locations within the UK.

Len visited Paultons Park in June 2015, accompanied by veteran children’s TV presenter Janet Ellis. Some of her most special childhood memories were of caravan holidays on the south coast, and while they were at the park the pair rode the teacups and one of its newest features, the double decker Victorian Carousel, reflecting on amusement parks of bygone times.

Set within 140 acres of beautiful parkland, Paultons Park features more than 60 rides and attractions to enjoy, including rollercoasters; EDGE, Cobra and Magma, the Raging River Ride and a 4D Show Street Cinema. It’s also home to the world’s first and UK exclusive Peppa Pig World and recently launched Critter Creek, a brand-new mini-land of weird and wonderful discoveries.

Stephen Lorton, commercial director of Paultons Park, said: “We were honoured to host Len and Janet at Paultons Park last summer. The presenters certainly appeared to have a whale of a time trying out some of our favourite family rides in the June sunshine. We can’t wait for the series to be broadcast this autumn.”
