The Pirates have gone but they've left their treasure!

Great prizes are on offer this summer for visitors and residents who successfully complete the recycling treasure hunt across Poole.

Eco Pirates Treasure HuntAfter the Eco-pirates visited last year to teach us all about reducing food waste, they left some treasure for people who learn about recycling.

Do you know how much rubbish in your dustbin could be recycled? How many trees are saved for every tonne of paper recycled? Answer these and three other questions and you could win:

Look out for treasure hunt posters with entry forms at locations across the borough and you can also find clues on the Treasure Hunt webpage link will open in new window.

Cllr Don Collier link will open in new window, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for the Environment link will open in new window, Borough of Poole, said: "This is a fun way for all the family to learn about the importance of recycling whilst having the opportunity to win some great prizes. The Eco-pirates campaign last year was a fantastic success and we hope that people will enjoy learning about recycling as much as they enjoyed learning about food waste last year."

The closing date for entries is 30 September 2010 and winners will be notified by 31 October. Entry forms can be found online or at the Civic Centre link will open in new window reception, the Welcome Centre, Poole Quay and the beach offices link will open in new window. Promotions teams will also be handing out forms throughout the summer.
