National Express Coaches are on the move

National Express coach services in Poole will be using a new facility from Monday 11 January 2010.

The recently upgraded Seldown Coach Park will be the new departure and arrival point for the National Express services that currently run from Poole Bus Station.

The coach park is located directly next to Poole Bus Station and will provide easy to access to and from local bus services.

Car parking, including disabled spaces, is available at the new facility making it easier for National Express passengers, especially those with heavy luggage, to be dropped off and collected.

The move will also help ease congestion in the bus station and as a result help keep local bus services running on time. Two new stops with shelters are provided for National Express services. They are clearly marked with seating also available.

Cllr Mike White, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Transportation, said "The new facility will prove much more convenient for both National Express coaches and the passengers using the excellent range of long distance services. It will especially appreciated by those meeting and greeting passengers as ample parking is now available close by."

Peter Chapman, General Manager South West for National Express, said "From 11th January customers travelling with National Express will benefit from a more convenient and easily accessible coach park in Poole. Every week we carry hundreds of visitors to Poole from destinations such as Bristol, Southampton, Heathrow and London and look forward to starting 2010 in the new Seldown Coach Park."
