Breeze Volkswagen ‘zoom’ in as event sponsors

Poole’s winter events schedule kick-starts next month and one of the area’s major motor dealerships, Tower Park-based Breeze Volkswagen has come on board as sponsor to support the town’s 2008 schedule with the aim to provide people with host of fun activities in the lead up to Christmas.

Organised by Poole Town Centre Management, Breeze Volkswagen has supported the town’s winter events annually since 2005 and the schedule has now established itself as a spectacular calendar of festive activities for all the family to enjoy. This year’s schedule is set to launch on Sunday 16th November at 10.30am with the arrival of Santa Claus, via the Poole RNLI lifeboat, on Poole Quay. A parade through the high street will then lead Santa to the Grotto in the Dolphin Shopping Centre.

Poole’s winter activities will also include the introduction of an Ice Rink in Falkland Square, which will open on Sunday 16th November, and a spectacular ‘Sea of Lights’, which will involve a flotilla of boats lit up and on display within Poole harbour on Friday 5th December. The Children’s Lantern Procession and carol singing will take place on Thursday 11th December from 6pm and will start in Falkland Square.

John Corderoy, managing director at Breeze Volkswagen, says: “The town’s winter events are renowned within the local community and is thoroughly enjoyed by people of all ages. We are pleased to provide support to this community initiative for the fourth year running. As a company we believe in innovation and creativity in the way we work and our sponsorship of community events is a perfect way to illustrate this philosophy.”

Richard Randle-Jones of Poole Town Centre Management says: “Breeze Volkswagen has always supported the concept of putting something back into the community. John and his team regularly support business and tourism projects which help to ensure the vibrancy of the area. We wish to thank the company for its continued support and commitment this year and look forward to providing a fun-filled schedule of activities.”
