Immense Air poster 2017IMMENSE Air, the UK’s first ever AEROBAR, is landing on Bournemouth Beach to take its place beside the seaside ahead of Bournemouth Air Festival.

The unique bar and restaurant based around a decommissioned ATR-42 aeroplane welcomes its first passengers aboard on Friday 18 August with the first in a series of musical flights of fancy in the run up to the Air Festival itself at the end of the month.

First up is the world’s most authentic Queen tribute band, Flash. As well as the carefully recreated costumes, what sets the show apart is the band’s replica equipment to create the perfect Queen sound. Tickets are just £5 in advance or £10 on the gate, with a dinner and show experience available at £15.

“Immense Air is taking music, food and entertainment in Bournemouth to new heights,” says flight director Ben Dyas.”This is something completely new and we’re certain it will become one of the biggest attractions the town has seen as we build up to the amazing Bournemouth Air Festival.”

Saturday night sees the debut of the free entry all-day and night AeroBeats Beach Club as top DJs recreate Ibiza’s Café Del Mar vibe with chilled out house sounds matched by world foods and some fabulous cocktails.

It’s also free on Sunday for the Payn On a Plane acoustic session with top singer songwriter Chris Payn who gives way to the Monday Madness promise of half price wings and Prosecco and Cocktail Club Tuesday with its special 2-4-1 offers at the mix bar.

Wednesday is Kids Beach Club day as Immense Air mascots Nemo and Dory lead the fun on the beach.

The incredible tribute acts continue with:

Thursday 24 August: Tania Alboni’s internationally acclaimed Amy Winehouse show.

Friday 25 August: Thriller on the Beach, Michael Jackson tribute with Navi.

Wednesday 30 August: Almost Olly, Karl Lewis as Olly Murs. (Free entry to anyone with tickets to the cancelled Olly Murs show in Kings Park.)

Thursday 31 August: The Ed Sheeran Experience with Jack Shepherd.

As Bournemouth Air Festival opens on 31 August Immense Air begins its programme of special ‘flights’ theme nights to exotic locations – Hawaii (Thurs), the carnival in Rio (Fri) and a Full Moon Party in Koh Pha Ngan (Sat) – with tasty food and drink from each region served in three sittings a day. In the evening there are special Night Flights with entertainment from the Ed Sheeran Experience (Thursday), a late night Latino Friday Truth nightclub and Ministry of Sound DJ Alex P with Paul Moss and Jon Langford riding the decks on Saturday.

Immense Air’s first season comes to a close to send the Air Festival out in classic style with a Vintage Sunday on 3 September with a Californian theme, pin-up girls, retro performances presided over by the gorgeous vintage siren Miss Annie.
