Quay Holidays Celebrate 10 Year AnniversaryAfter an incredibly busy summer season, the partners and staff of Quay Holidays and Quay Living came together last Thursday to enjoy a combined 10th birthday and end-of-season party. Quay started in 2006 from a desk in partner, Helen Challis’s dining room. Today, its Poole Old Town offices house a permanent staff of 12, and over 25 part-time cleaners, van drivers, and handymen. As Helen explains, “The nature of our business is very hands–on. We started out in holiday letting, which is arguably the most intensive form of property management. Residential letting and estate agency services were natural extensions, and clients of those services receive a far more comprehensive service from Quay than from many other agents. We’re open 7 days a week, our telephones are answered until 10pm, and our dedicated Service Team are always on hand to deal with problems as they arise.”

So what’s in prospect for the next 10 years? As Helen points out, “Recent changes to interest tax relief have made holiday letting even more attractive to investors, and we are seeing increased demand. Our estate agency team has developed a well-deserved reputation for excellent customer service, which is really important to us, and we continue to grow market share as a result. The regeneration sites of Poole and Hamworthy are set to see huge development, with thousands of new homes set to be built on our doorstep – so it’s highly likely that the next 10 years will be even busier than the last!”
