Poole Quay was blessed with another beautiful summer evening, as around a thousand bikers parked up to enjoy the event.  The quay was bustling with spectators enjoying the sunshine and admiring the great variety of bikes on show.

Congratulations to Nigel Baratt from Bournemouth who won the ‘Bike of the Night’ title on his Honda CB450 Black Bomber. Nigel said “I always wanted one because it was a big move by Honda, with an overhead cam engine and gave the British manufacturers some competition.   It’s been restored to the original specification and condition.”

Nigel rode home with a race kit courtesy of Muc-Off.  Judge for the night was Bob Elliot, from Solent Advanced Motorcyclists who chose the bike because “it was an outstanding original bike”

As a Bike of the Night winner, Nigel will also be invited to take part in the “Bike of the Year” finale, sponsored by APlan Motorcycle Insurance at the end of the season, with cash prizes on offer for the top three places.
