Event address: Poole High Street, Poole, BH15 1AR
Detailed map: multimap link will open in new window

About the event:

Poole High Street will be hosting a fabulous day of free family activities on Wednesday 8 August.

From 11am-3pm children and families can take part in a fantastic range of arts, crafts, sport and play aimed at children of school age.

From evocative African storytelling complete with percussion, to the chance to learn circus skills with Jules or take part in music and movement for the under 7's with Ally Pally, there will be something for everyone to try.

Bring out your creative side with Dorset Scrap Store, the Borough of Poole's Environmental and Consumer Protection team and the RSPB's environmental craft or brush up your tailwhip, nose wheelie or can-can with Style Bikes at the BMX biking workshop in Poole Methodists Church.

Sponsored by Poole Town Centre Partnership, the event includes face painting plus play and crafts for the under 7's run by volunteers from AJ's Funtime, a new community group recently formed and supported by Poole Methodists. Arts workshops will include the chance to use clay and make your own soapstone jewellery.  And whilst children are kept busy, adults will have a chance to find out more about the Living Histories Exhibition.
