Fireworks on the Quay

Event dates: 5 Nov 2010
Event address: Poole Quay, Poole, BH15 1HJ
Detailed map: multimap link will open in new window

About the event:

Bigger and brighter than ever, Poole's famous firework spectacular is set to light up the skies over the iconic harbour on Friday 5 November as part of Wave 105's Festival of Fireworks.

Sponsored by Quayside and Wave 105, the largest free firework extravaganza on the south coast will see Poole Quay buzzing from 4.30pm before a spectacular fireworks display at 8pm.

With street entertainers Jamie Maidment, Dick Danger and Dominic performing throughout the evening, fire performers, jugglers, bouncy castle, children's rides and a junior disco will keep younger members of the family entertained.  For the more energetic, get one of the best views of the Quay from the top of the climbing wall with    live music from Samba Panashe and celtic rockers Black Sheep adding to the party atmosphere.

Baddies beware, supreme crime fighting super heroes will be on hand as Bournemouth Carnival Band take to the streets dressed as Batman - watch out for villains Penguin and The Riddler as the comedy marching band bring their unique blend of music and crazy comedy antics to Poole Quay.

One of the most popular family events of the year and with so much to see and do, get down early for a drink or a bite to eat at one of the fantastic restaurants and enjoy fireworks safely, it promises to be a wonderful evening.
